An independent Scientific Committee oversees the management of the Award from the selection of topics under the 6 fields to the appointment of judging committee members from all around the Arab world each year.

The evaluation criteria focus on emphasizing scientific research outcomes with added value to address local, regional and international challenges; in addition to contributing to the dissemination of applied research culture and knowledge.
