About The Krank

The Krank (b. 1988 Greece) is a visual artist based in Athens. His practice spans painting, installation, video, photography and large-scale site-specific interventions. His work often explores the relationship between landscape, memory, environmental change, social structures and collective experience, frequently using public space and temporary interventions as part of the work itself. He has presented projects internationally in institutions and contexts including the Barbican Centre, Transmediale, KKL Luzern, FLVV Deutsches Historisces Museum, Eleusis European Capital of Culture 2023 and other exhibitions across Europe, the United States and Asia. Recent works have focused on environmental and territorial questions through land art interventions.

In July 2026, I arrived on Othonoi, a small island in the Ionian Sea and the westernmost inhabited point of Greece, to take part in the Ionian Lab residency, organized by Space52 and Kalogerou1844.
